Richmond upon Thames Literature Festival are celebrating their 20th anniversary, as part of this occasion they have curated a superb line-up of authors, artists, thinkers and speakers, as well as a fantastic food weekend in the elegant surroundings of 17th century Ham House. Gideon Reeling’s assistants are delighted to be presenting the Salon du Thé as part of this lovely event.

There will be two sittings; 2pm - 3pm, and 4.30pm - 5.30pm. We welcome the wearing of hats, glad rags, full Edwardian regalia but arrive as you feel most comfortable. You can book your tickets here.

The Salon du Thé will be presented within a marquee space situated in the grounds but if you also wish to visit the house on 27th November, perhaps before your tea, you will find a 400-year-old treasure trove waiting to be discovered and one of a series of grand houses and palaces alongside the River Thames.

Ham House and Garden is an unusually complete survival of the 17th century that impressed in its day and continues to do so today. Rich in history and atmosphere, Ham is largely the vision of Elizabeth Murray, Countess of Dysart, who was deeply embroiled in the politics of the English Civil War and subsequent restoration of the monarchy. Discover the fine interiors and historic gardens that make Ham an unusual and fascinating place to visit.
